Dr. Kevin Wright
The main character of the story, Kevin is a scientist from the mainland United States, who lives in the state of Missouri. He is a young man in his 30's. The biggest problem he is facing is that he can't remember what happened to him. Somehow he has ended up alone in the middle of the Yukon, after setting out on what seemed like a normal scientific expedition. Dr. Kevin Wright has always lived a rather unexciting and boring life, until now...
James Robert "Colonel J"
An older gentleman in his late 60's or early 70's, although he looks his age, he doesn't act it as he is still healthy and active. he lives in the Yukon a couple hundred miles north of the settlement of Old Crow, which is the closest town. James is a fur trapper and trader who lives in the brutal cold of the Yukon year-round. He found the Boring Man lying in the snow and saved his life by bringing him back to his cabin.
Rodney Archer
A young man in his early 20's, Rodney Archer is also a trapper in the cold tundra of the Yukon. He lives about five miles away from James. Rodney's father was a good friend of James, until he was killed in a tragic hunting accident. Several years after the accident, when Rodney wanted to get into fur trapping, James helped him get started. He is a good friend of James, and one of his few and far between neighbors.
Dr. Gerald Harwin
Dr. Gerald Harwin was one of the scientists, who went with the main character, on the expedition into the artic. He was from Texas and was in his early 40's. His dead body was found by Rodney, he had been shot in the back of the head.
Dr. Perry Longhouse
Dr. Perry Longhouse is the evil mastermind behind the artic expedition that left Dr. Wright stranded in the middle of the tundra.
"Crazy Carl"
The leader of the expedition, 'Crazy Carl' is one seriously tough, bad dude.
